- VogueEditor-In-Chief Anna Wintour defended her photo choice of Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris for February's cover shoot.
- Harris was photographed in a powder blue suit with a gold backdrop and a casual black suit, Converse sneakers, and a green and pink backdrop. The latter made the Vogue cover sparking backlash and calls for a “redo.”
- Wintour is defending her choice for the cover saying in a statement,“it was absolutely not our intention to, in any way, diminish the importance of the vice president-elect’s incredible victory.”
- The Associated Press and CNN are reporting that Harris’ team was “blindsided” by the photo choice. Wintour said,“We felt to reflect this tragic moment in global history, a much less formal picture, something that was very, very accessible and approachable and real, really reflected the hallmark of the Biden-Harris campaign and everything that they are trying to, and I’m sure will achieve.”
