- Rapper Jay-Z came through for protestors in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin who were arrested while demonstrating for justice in the death of Alvin Cole, a 17-year-old black teenager
- On February 2nd, police shot and killed Cole.
- According to CBS News, Jay-Z and Team ROC, the social justice arm of his organization ROC Nation, paid the bail and citation fees for protestors, including the mother and three sisters of Cole.
- Last week, when the Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm announced that no charges would be brought against Wisconsin police officer Joseph Mensah, violent riots broke out.
- For months Team ROC followed the case and in July took out a full-page ad in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel calling for Mensah's immediate firing and prosecution.
