Deon Cole Responds to Backlash Over His Gucci Bell Bottoms

Comedian Deon Cole took to his Instagram to share the backlash he was receiving over an outfit he wore to the NAACP Image Awards.
The outrage? A Gucci suit that had bell bottoms.
He posted some of the comments that included homophobic slurs.
He posted a 15 minute video explaining that he is always on someone's best dressed list. He loves to push the envelope and explore different fashion trends.
He also said he has no issue with people not liking his outfit. His issue is the hate that he received.
The hate that I have been receiving because I wore a bell bottom velour velvet suit has been unreal.
He said that he has been physically threatened.
Both men and women have been threatening him.
He described his outfit as a tribute to his love of the disco era.
