H&M Responds To Backlash Over Young Black Model's Natural Hair

H&M is under fire for photographing a young black model with "messy" natural hair. The model's hair is being described on social media as "unkempt" and thousands of people are claiming outrage over H&M's use of the image. H&M responded saying they aimed for a natural look of the children who came in to model after school. "We are aware of the comments regarding one of our models for H&M Kids. We truly believe that all kids should be allowed to be kids. The school-aged kids who model for us come to the photo studio in the afternoon after school and we aim for a natural look which reflects that.”
