Netflix has released the trailer for Season 2 of Marvel's Luke Cage.
Mariah Dillard (Alfre Woodard) would like to be Harlem’s heroine — or rather, its queen — but she’s not the only one.
In the new trailer for season 2 of Marvel’s Luke Cage, the nefarious politician (and club owner, after her cousin’s death in season 1) promises she’ll bring “miracles” to the neighborhood, but she’s threatened by two new arrivals in town: a man known as Bushmaster (Mustafa Shakir), who can shrug off bullets just like the invincible Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and a crime lord named Rosalie (Annabella Sciorra), who’s glimpsed toward the end of the teaser.
Luckily for Mariah, she has a plan to use Luke as protection — or as she puts it in the trailer, as her “dark chocolate boy scout.” But will Luke accept such a proposal? After all, he’s Harlem’s hero, and Harlem’s hero works against criminals, not with them.
Luke Cage season 2 arrives on Netflix June 22nd.
