MacKenzie Scott Gives $1.7 Billion to HBCU’s and Other Groups

You may be wondering, who is MacKenzie Scott? She is the ex-wife of Jeff Bezos. She dropped her married name.
She is one of the richest women in the world. She received $37 billion in the divorce and has vowed to give away half of her fortune.
She took to Medium.com to post the list of organizations she has donated to so far.
The list is comprised of 116 organizations with a handful or HBCU's.
She donated to Howard, Hampton, Tuskegee University, Xavier University of Louisiana, Morehouse and Spelman.
There were many online debates about schools like Howard, Hampton, Spelman and Morehouse always receiving money from organizations when they have huge alumni to keep them afloat and less popular HBCU's that really need the donation like Cheyney get overlooked.
