Actor Terry Crews is being dragged on social media for praising America's Got Talent after former judge Gabrielle Union was dropped from the show for reportedly calling out its toxic work environment, which included sexism and racism allegations. Crews appeared on The Today Show Thursday and discussed America’s Got Talent’s new series, The Champions. Afterwards the conversation led into a discussion about AGT’s work environment and Union’s departure from the show. When asked about toxic and sexism work environments at AGT Crews said that was not his experience. “First of all, I can’t speak for sexism because I’m not a woman,” Crews said, adding, “but I can speak on any racist comments. That was never my experience. In fact, it was the most diverse place I have ever been in my 20 years of entertainment.” Gabrielle Union clapped back after Terry Crews denied hearing racist ‘comments’ on the set of ‘America’s Got Talent.’ After a Twitter fan sent “nothing but love and support” to Gabrielle on Jan. 24, the former AGT judge replied, “Thank u! Cuz girlllllll 😐 Truth telling, wanting change & having MULTIPLE witnesses who bravely came forward to let EVERYONE know I didn’t lie or exaggerate, really exposes those who enthusiastically will throw you under the bus, forgetting quickly who stepped up 4 THEIR truth.”
