"New Jack City" is reportedly being rebooted by Warner Bros. Snowfall actor Malcolm Mays is reportedly signed on to write the script. The original film was released in 1991 and had an all-star cast including Wesley Snipes, Ice T, Chris Rock, Flavor Flav, and Mario Van Peebles. Further details about the remake’s plot and characters are still being kept under wraps. Last week it was reported that Insecure's Issa Rae is set to produce a film that reimagines the mid-'90s classic, “Set It Off,” according to The Hollywood Reporter
