According to reports, Lee Daniels has agreed to pay Damon Dash over $1.7 million to settle a lawsuit filed against him by Dash. The pair reached a confidential settlement over a contract dispute related to a Richard Pryor biopic in November (2018), and now the terms of the deal have been obtained by The Blast. The Blast reports Daniels was ordered to pay Dame $1,782,500 in total from November 2018 to January 2021. Dash also agreed to give up his co-executive producer credit if the Pryor film ever goes ahead. Dash agreed to remove all social media posts talking badly about Daniels. He removed an Instagram post talking about the legal battle. He also had to remove video of Dash confronting Daniels at a Diana Ross concert.
