Actress Danai Gurira confirmed that she is leaving AMC’s show “The Walking Dead.” During the San Diego Comic-Con, Gurira said that season 10 will be her last playing the character Michonne in the TV series. "I can confirm this will be my final season as Michonne on the show," she told the crowd. She went on: "I'd just like to say that this has been one of the purest joys of my life to play this role, and to be amongst these people, and those that are not here right now, and amongst all of you. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress will likely be in "a handful" of the season 10 episodes. The tenth season of "The Walking Dead" will premiere at 9 p.m. on October 6.
