Power 99's Roxy Romeo sits down to talk with Nick Cannon to talk about his Wild 'N Out Tour and more! The tour visited Philadelphia on Thursday August 23rd at the Wells Fargo Center for a sold out show where Meek Mill joined Nick Cannon on stage.
A multifaceted talent, Nick Cannon acts, sings, and hosts Wild 'N Out - a comedy show on MTV. Cannon explains why he chose to take his show on the road saying:
"The people demanded it more than anything. People would always say they wanted to experience what they see on television. They wanted to come to a taping and we only film either in New York at the time or LA at the time. And I came up with this idea like 'yo let's give them the full experience.' And it started with a college road trip. We shot Wild 'N On The Road for MTV 2 and we went to all these different colleges and the energy was so insane. I was like 'yo I bet we could fill up arenas with this!' And that's exactly what we're doing now."
Wild 'N Out stays exciting because of the stream of different celebs and personalities hitting the stage. Nick Cannon explains the process of choosing who will hit the stage:
"The live shows is really the people who have the most demand. The people online or however we do our surveys, we say 'who do you want to see in person? who would you like to meet?' and those are the people that we take out. And obviously whoever is poppin' in music at that time, we get them to come rock with us and give us a concert as well. The entire tour we've had everyone from Gotti to Rick Ross to Waka Flocka to BlocBoy JB to 21 Savage, Kodak Black... everybody you can ever think of, they've done a show or two. And that's the beauty of this show. Unlike any other tour you go see, you kinda know what you gonna get and it's the same show every city. Our show is different every single night and it's kinda cool because the Philly show can be completely different from the Brooklyn Show."
