Rihanna will receive an honorary degree from the University of the West Indies. The award is given to people who “have made outstanding regional or international contributions.”The singer, actor and entrepreneur will be honoured with an Honorary Doctor of Letters in a ceremony scheduled for October 20 at the Cave Hill Campus. Last year, Rihanna received Harvard’s prestigious Humanitarian of the Year award for her philanthropic work through her Clara Lionel Foundation.
