Nelly revealed he’s cutting him off financially. Nelly has not said what led to him write off his father, but his ex-girlfriend Ashanti may have something to do with it. Over the weekend, Ashanti performed in St. Louis and posted a video backstage with Cornell Sr. A few hours after this video was posted, Nelly gave his dad the business on Instagram “Just because it’s ya DNA DONT MAKE YOU A FATHER..!!! Mine never saw me play sports never taught me anything never saw me graduate and I still took care of him for almost 20 years he never to care of me for half that..!!!! And till this day he still does whatever he wants even tho I pay his bills .. “WELL USE TO” ..!!! That’s Over as of tonight ..!!!” “Hope it was worth it, pops. I’m done with you.
