Talk show host Wendy Williams told viewers on Wednesday that she was taking times off due to her battle with Graves' disease. Graves' disease is an immune system disorder that results in the overproduction of thyroid hormones. Signs and symptoms associated with Graves' disease can include anxiety, fatigue, weight loss, changes in menstral cycles, tremors, and more. “Wendy is a true champion and has never missed a day of work. But her health and well-being must be put before all else,” the spokesperson said in the statement. “Wendy has been openly dealing with her Graves’ disease for many years, in addition to hyperthyroidism...A live show was produced today so that Wendy could speak directly to her fans and explain her condition.”
