Beyonce's dad Mathew Knowles has claimed she is only successful because she has light skin. In a recent interview with EBONY magazine regarding his new "Racism: From the Eyes of a Child." Knowles said, “When it comes to Black females, who are the people who get their music played on pop radio? Mariah Carey, Rihanna, the female rapper Nicki Minaj, my kids Beyoncé and Solange, and what do they all have in common?” He went on to admit that he only began dating his now ex-wife, Tina Knowles, because he thought she was white.
