Philadelphia 76ers legend Julius "Dr. J" Erving was released from an area hospital Saturday after falling ill Friday night during the Sixers game in South Philadelphia Erving's management team said Saturday that Erving had undergone a comprehensive medical evaluation and was expected to make a full recovery. They did not provide further details. Erving, 67, attended the game and rang the ceremonial Liberty Bell before tipoff.
