Chrisette Michele speaks of "regret" at playing Donald Trump's inauguration ball, apologizing and saying that it was a "bad choice." Chrisette also talked about the photo she used when she announced she had a miscarriage.
via NYDN:
Chrisette Michele, who initially took the gig in hopes of being a "bridge" for a divided nation, told the Breakfast Club on Thursday morning that she was "wrong" to think she could deliver a message of hope.
"I regret everything that happened. I think that was a bad choice," she said.
"Oh, I knew that he wasn't a good choice for the presidency," Michele said after Charlamagne tha God said Trump's initial supporters have backed down now that he's become "progressively worse."
"That was something we all knew together. But there's always gotta be some sense of hope. Again, that stage, that message on that stage was the wrong time and the wrong place. And I apologize deeply for the people that I hurt," the R&B singer continued.
When asked whether or not the photo that she used to announce her miscarriage was fake, she says,
"It wasn’t mine. When what was happening to me, was happening to me, I didn’t think to take a photo. But many women did and many women post their photos on different web sites to see what’s going on in their body….I wanted people to know the severity of what I experienced so I put something up to show it."
