John Heard died after suffering a heart attack brought on by heart disease, TMZ reports. Heard was found dead at the age of 71 in a hotel room in Palo Alto, California, on July 21. He had undergone minor back surgery at Stanford Medical Center just two days before his death and was recovering at the hotel.The coroner's office says his back surgery did not play a role in his death. Heard's many roles included the father in the "Home Alone" and "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York" movies and a corrupt detective in the television series "The Sopranos."
