Kendrick Lamar gifted one of his committed fans with a van in efforts to make it easier for her to drive around in her wheelchair. Jennifer Phillips, a quadriplegic injured a decade ago in a car accident, launched a GoFundMe in April to raise money for a van. Phillips, a longtime fan of Lamar, was invited backstage during Lamar’s DAMN. tour stop in Dallas, where he revealed to Phillips that he a purchased the van. Lamar met with Phillips and revealed that he'd paid for the van and gifted her with a jacket featuring a personal note that read: “Thank you for always supporting me. Your a inspiration for me. You are strong and positive. Your kind and beautiful. For all the years of inspiring me, the least I can do is make sure your comfortable driving the city. A gift from me to you.
