According to The Business Insider the Kanye West foundation raised $1.9 million between 2008 and 2010, but only provided $7,695 in grants, contributions and donations. The rest went on salaries and overhead. The Kanye West Foundation was created to combat the severe dropout problem in schools across the United States by providing under-served youth access to music production programs.
