Tyree Cinque Simmons, professionally known as DJ Drama, is a DJ record executive from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Drama initially gained recognition as the official DJ for Atlanta-based rapper T.I. but then went on to become famous for his own mixtapes. His most successful mixtape was his was a debut album called: Gangsta Grillz series, which was released on December 4th of 2007.
DJ Drama has released multiple albums as well as collaborated with numerous artists and he also founded his own label called: Aphilliates Music Group. His most recent album came out in 2016 called: ‘Quality Street Music 2’.
Drama has served as an A&R Director for Atlantic Records, and in 2018 won the ‘DJ/Record Label of the Year’ award from the Global Spin Awards. Drama can be heard yearly as the voice of Power 99’s legendary Powerhouse Concert, and is working on his next Gangsta Grillz project with Lil Wayne.
