Born in Ghana, West Africa, but representing West Philly since his teenage years, Michael Blackson has made a name in the world of stand up comedy as one of its most reliable performers. Blackson was a regular on stand up staples Def Comedy Jam, BET’s Comic View and Showtime at the Apollo.He caught his first big break on the silver screen as part of the Friday movie series when he starred in ‘Next Friday’ alongside Ice Cube and Mike Epps in 2003, and has been a staple on several major national comedy tours ever since.Fans can see him next on the big screen when he appears alongside Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall in Murphy’s, ‘Coming 2 America’, sequel which is slated for release on Amazon Prime on March 5th.
