Prison guards have pulled the plug on Tory Lanez’s in-cell recording studio.
TMZ reports that the rapper’s cell block was recently raided and all of his studio equipment was confiscated by California Correctional Institution officials. While he’s been staying busy and feeding the fans with a weekly Prison Tapes series, it seems that might come to an end sooner than later given the latest development. Caesar McDowell, the “chief deputy on Tory’s legal team” notes that prison officials told Tory and his team that inmates are strictly forbidden from possessing recording devices.
In the meantime, supporters are playing his latest releases on repeat, trying to run his streaming numbers up.
TeeRoy's 2 Cents:
- The good news is this isn’t that serious. There’s no way they’re adding time onto his sentence for something as minor as this.
- Free Tory!
- Having your own in-cell recording studio is a lot different than just rapping over the prison phone.
- Things just got a whole lot more boring for Tory behind bars. Guess he'll have to find a new way to spend his time -- at least for now.
- He's locked up and now so is his recording equipment.
