21 SAVAGE: Facing Possible Felony

TeeRoy's 2 Cents:

  • They need to nip this in the bud or it could become a major obstacle to Savage staying in America.
  • You're trying to ruin a guy's life because he (allegedly) ruined a night in your club?
  • Hopefully he can give the money back or book a new date as a make-good.
  • Free 21!
  • Sometimes it's actually the club owner who fails to hold up his end of the bargain and then tries to put the blame on talent.
  • At the end of the day, it's a business. The club owner has the right to recoup the investment lost.

When we first heard the Atlanta rapper was facing deportation, it was reported that he had a felony on his record, which turned out to be sealed. Now he has another legal issue to contend with.

A promoter in Georgia says Savage took around $17,000 in fees to perform and then never did. The promoter went to the cops in October 2016, filed a police report and got a warrant issued for theft by deception. That's a potential felony.

Flash forward to earlier this month when the club owner heard that 21 was picked up by ICE. He called the sheriff’s office and asked to have 21 picked up on the warrant.

reports that 21 will go see the sheriff to try and clear things up. His lawyer says, “Mr. Joseph has committed no criminal offense. We look forward to an amicable resolution…with no criminal implications whatsoever.”
