CITY GIRLS: JT’s Coming Home?

TeeRoy's 2 Cents:

  • The City Girls blew up this past year, thanks to a Drake sample used on "In My Feelings" and a feature in the video.
  • The judge showed some lenience in her case, allowing her to delay sentencing to attend the BET Awards
  • "free JT" is the motto until the words are reversed.
  • Don't trust social media pages missing that verified checkmark -- and even those should be taken with a grain of salt.
  • It was wishful thinking on the part of everyone who wanted to believe it.
  • If she stays on her best behavior, JT could come home sooner than expected.
  • Posing to be someone else online? Now that's just corny. Point blank, period.

The incarcerated half of the Miami duo’s sentence was expected to end on March 21st, 2020. But according to what looks like a new update from her friend and groups-mate, Yung Miami, JT will be way sooner — we’re talking this year. Late Tuesday night, she seemingly tweeted, "JT will be home in December." In the following day, she spent her time retweeting messages of support from fans.

But by early Thursday morning, the entire @YungMiami305_ Twitter account was deleted. On her verified Instagram account, she posted, "I don't have a Twitter."

We did some digging and here's how we think it happened; Miami deleted her page back when controversy emerged over old tweets this past summer. An enterprising imposter than quickly snatched up the newly-available Twitter handle and ran with it, keeping up appearances. But once JT posted on her Instagram about it, the jig was up.
