A woman in Washington state called 911 on Tuesday to say her grandson had a semi-automatic rifle hidden in a guitar case and was planning to kill his classmates. Officers came to the house and found the gun, as well as journals containing detailed plans to shoot students and use homemade explosives at the ACES High School in Everett.
The 18-year-old, who hasn't been named, was arrested. School officials say he hadn't shown any previous behavior to land him on their radar. (USA Today)
