Presenters + Speakers at the 2018 Cracker Barrel Sista Strut Philadelphia

Our 2018 Cracker Barrel Sista Strut Philadelphia took place on Saturday, June 16th on a beautiful late Spring/early Summer day with sunshine, blue skies and many happy faces ready to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research.

Our station personalities, including WDAS' Patty Jackson, Frankie Darcell, and Mimi Brown; Power 99's Cappuchino and Roxy Romeo; Real 106.1's Shila (on the Chio in the Morning Show) and news and community affairs director Loraine Ballard Morrill took the stage to welcome our walkers and presenters.

Next, Dr. Damone Jones of Bible Way Baptist Church, led us with a morning prayer before the festivities got underway.

Our sponsors from Forman Mills and Ashley Homestores had messages for the walkers.

Roxanne Burger of MD Anderson Cooper Center talked about screenings and cancer outreach programs.

Faith Williams of Cancer Treatment Centers had some words as well.

Yvonne McLean Florence from the American Association for Cancer Research talked about her experience with breast cancer and her current role in researching for a cure.

Charged Up Exercise led us on a fun dance-inspired warmup to get our bodies moving so early in the morning.

Diva Richards also led us in a 2nd warmup a little later so that we were ready to walk!

A few more speakers took the stage to talk about their experiences, to share how to get support during your or your family member's treatment, and remind us to get a mammogram every year. Cut Master Butter provided some great music in between speakers and to keep our spirits high. Check out more photos in the gallery below!
