Word on the street has it Drake's new album (presumably still titled More Life) is set for a "surprise" release this weekend, according to Hits Daily Double.
On Monday (March 6), the industry outlet reported that the upcoming collection could surface "as soon as this weekend" via YMCMB/Republic Records. According to U.K. sources, most of the LP was recorded with British and European collaborators during the rapper's "Boy Meets World Tour" in Europe and the U.K. earlier this year.
Fingers crossed that the album does see the light of day. Just yesterday, Drake's dad, Dennis Graham, sent fans into a bit of a frenzy when he posted what many folks thought was the artwork for More life alongside the caption: "Tonight's the night."
During a recent podcast interview, Drizzy explained that the forthcoming release is intended to cement his legacy as an innovator. "[It's] to keep people excited, give them new music, let them know I’m still hungry. I'm doing it to be remembered as a forward thinker," he explained.
