Police are probing a horrifying stunt where two performers had flesh cut from their bodies before, fried and then fed back to them in a sickening stunt.
The stunt, carried out by artist Arturs Bērziņš, was streamed on Facebook live and has received a number of complaints from viewers.
Two volunteers are sat down as a person in a white forensic suit then cuts a chunk of meat out their back using a scalpel - seemingly without the use of local anesthetic.The human flesh is then thrown into a large frying pan and cooked as the two assistants watch on.
The person in the forensic suit then summons two pair to their feet, picks up the flesh from the pan and then drops the meat into their mouths.
Authorities in Latvia are now looking into the performance, which was performed on March 6 at a museum in Riga.Despite the disgust around the stunt, Latvian authorities are struggling to find anything to charge Bērziņš with.
The premise of the 'Eschatology' show was to highlight what would happen to humanity if global food sources ran out.
