He's Sick: Man Passes Out In Uber, Takes $1,600 Ride

I know he was pissed when he woke up!

And I know that Uber driver was thanking God.

An intoxicated New Jersey man left a party in an Uber, and ended up more than 300 miles from where he was staying.

Kenneth Bachman, of Sewell, N.J., spent the day and night drinking with friends near the West Virginia University campus, CBS Philly reports.

When he was ready to go home, he ordered an Uber ride — and fell asleep.

“We went to a frat party and then went to the bar. I was getting drinks all night; I probably spent like $200 at the bar after already drinking all day," Bachman told CBS Philly.

He doesn’t remember calling the car, but recalls waking up in an Uber next to “an older dude telling me I was an hour out from Jersey.

“I was just like — that’s crazy. Why did you agree to take me to New Jersey from West Virginia?” he recalled asking.

The driver claims that Bachman had asked to be taken to his native New Jersey rather than to his temporary living quarters near campus, NJ.com reports.

The alleged mistake cost Bachman $1,635.93.

Bachman said he accidentally ordered a luxury UberXL vehicle, which increased the cost of the ride.

“It would have cost like $800 but instead it came out to $1,600,” Bachman told CBS Philly.

“I guess it’s kind of embarrassing,” he added.

Bachman disputed the charge, claiming he never entered his Gloucester County address in the app, according to NJ.com.
