Sweet Dixie Kitchen’s Kimberly Sanchez told ABC 7 that she’s been serving breakfast and lunch at her place for four years.She told the news outlet that most of the items are “made from scratch.”This employee then took to Yelp to voice his concern over the practice.According to ABC 7, an employee confirmed that Sweet Dixie does in fact utilize fast food chain chicken for its meal. The price: $15, far more than what one could pay at a Popeyes restaurant.Still, Sanchez is unapologetic.She responded to the Yelp review and also took to Facebook to defend the usage.“We PROUDLY SERVE Popeyes spicy tenders — the best fried chicken anywhere and from New Orleans — which are delivered twice a day,” she wrote.Sanchez cited her ill-equipped kitchen and its age in defending her decision.Plus, she said, “I love Popeyes chicken.
