SMH: ESPN Suspends Jemele Hill For Jerry Jones TweetsAt this point if I was in Jemele's corner, I would start looking elsewhere for a job. It is clear that ESPN no longer has her back or her best interests at heart.A few weeks ago, Hill started a war of words after she called the president a white supremacist (which isn't much of a lie). Yesterday, after Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said any player "disrespecting" the flag would be benched. This comes two weeks after his old ass was on the field kneeling with players before the anthem.
"Jemele Hill has been suspended for two weeks for a second violation of our social media guidelines,” the network said in a statement Monday afternoon. “She previously acknowledged letting her colleagues and company down with an impulsive tweet. In the aftermath, all employees were reminded of how individual tweets may reflect negatively on ESPN and that such actions would have consequences. Hence this decision."
ESPN did not specify what specifically caused the ban. However, on Sunday night, Hill tweeted multiple times about Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and was critical of his wanting to bench playerswho won't stand during the national anthem. -(Amara Grautski, NY Daily News)
