Damn, you gotta be low down and dirty to steal from somebody who doesn't have a home and resorts to begging for money.
The 50-year-old panhandler was at the Bedford Ave. L train station in Greenpoint around 12:30 a.m., reading a book, when the suspect grabbed him and threw him onto the tracks.
The man, who is believed to be in his 20s, ran off with the cup of change, which contained about $45, officials said.
The homeless man hit his head on the tracks, but managed to climb back up to the platform before a train entered the station.Medics treated him at the scene for a cut on his head. -(NY Daily News)
