SMH: Philly Man Arrested After Infant Overdoses On Heroin

A nine-month-old baby girl had to be treated with an anti-overdose drug after she was discovered in her father’s bed with a hypodermic needle sticking out of her leg.
The child was transported to a hospital at around 6.30pm Wednesday after being found unresponsive by police inside a home In the 200 block of Green Lane in the Manayunk section of Philadelphia.
The girl's father, 35-year-old Steven Welsh, allegedly told police his daughter was in bed with him when she rolled over onto the needle, which punctured her leg.Paramedics who responded to the home administered a dose of the opioid-reversal drag Narcan, which revived the little girl.
She was listed in a stable condition at Chestnut Hill Hospital on Thursday.
Welsh was later arrested by officers with the Special Victims Unit on charges of aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault and reckless endangerment, reported Fox 29. -(Daily Mail UK)
