Sad: Local High School Graduate Run Off Road & Killed In Road Rage Accident
Traffic is never a reason that someone so young should lose their life.
A local woman who just graduated high school in Philadelphia suburb West Chester was killed yesterday after another motorist ran her off of the road during what police believe was a road rage incident.
Bianca Nikol Roberson, a recent graduate of West Chester Rustin High School, died in the wreck on Wednesday afternoon.
Her brother told Action News she was "headed for greatness."It happened around 5:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the Route 100 bypass at mile marker 0.1 in West Goshen Twp.
According to police, Roberson was driving a green Chevy Malibu when her car left the road and slammed into a tree.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say she may have been involved in a road rage incident with a red pickup truck of an unknown make and model.
Investigators are now looking for the driver of that pickup.
"We're asking the public that may have been in the area, anyone that may provide us with any kind of information, may not feel it's important - but to us it could be critical," said Chief Joseph Gleason of West Goshen Police.
Roberson was bound for the University of Jacksonville in the fall, and local school officials say she recently received an award for her strong character.
"She graduated three weeks ago and was about to enter into college and really take on the next step in her life, so it's very tragic," said Scanlon.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact the West Goshen Police Department Traffic Safety Division at 610-696-7400.
This is just sad...RIP.
