Police Open Fire On Video Shoot Mistaken For Carjacking
Damn, this is crazy.
A Detroit police officer fired three shots at the alleged set of a music video after calls came in reporting a carjacking in progress.
Responding to reports of an armed carjacking taking place on Six Mile Road, Detroit police instead became unwitting participants in a music video and nearly shot the filmmakers in the process.According to the Detroit Free Press, officers arrived at the scene Saturday at approximately 7 p.m. to see a Jeep pulled up alongside an Aston Martin in the middle of the road, with two men approaching the luxury sports car, allegedly with a weapon drawn.Detroit police spokesman Officer Dan Donakowski said Monday that the man officers fired upon was armed and assumed to be in the process of robbing the person in the Aston Martin. The filmmakers reportedly had no permits to film or proof of permission to shoot the video. All three were arrested and no one was injured by the gunfire. -(NY Daily News)
