SMH: Man Kills Sister's Boyfriend Over Food Stamps & Hot Pockets
This has to be some of the dumbest ish I have ever seen.
An Atlanta man is serving life in prison after he shot and killed his sister's boyfriend 8 times over some damn Hot Pockets.
Last June, Nathaniel Mathis asked that his sister and her boyfriend, Rodney Benton, pick him up some Hot Pockets on their run to the store. Mathis gave them his EBT card to pay for the dusty microwave snack.
Unfortunately, the store was sold out of the aforementioned stoner food and the EBT card’s PIN number had been changed…which lead to an argument.
When the couple returned home empty handed, Mathis was PISSED. He ran up on his sister’s SUV, went to the passenger side, yelled: “You know what’s going on!”, and shot Benton 8 times.
Benton fled the scene and told a random woman to deliver the following message to his sister:“I just snapped. I love her and didn’t mean for it to happen this way,” the woman later told police Mathis told her. She immediately called police.
Police found Mathis in a nearby park with a gun to his head, after a long SWAT negotiation the authorities were able to apprehend him.
Mathis plead guilty to murder, criminal charges of property in the first degree, possession of firearm by first offender probationer, and possession of firearm during commission of a felony. A jury sentenced him to life plus 10 years. -(Bossip)
