Video: Ohio Police Officer Being Investigated For Kicking Handcuffed Man In Head

We have another video of the injustices we have going on in our country.

Yesterday, y'all saw the man get bloodied and dragged off of a flight that he paid for by police. Today, Columbus PD has announced that one of their own has been taken off patrol as they investigate a video of him assaulting a handcuffed man as he laid on the ground.

Columbus Police Officer Zachary Rosen has been reassigned as police investigate the video shot Saturday showing the confrontation.“The action taken by one of our officers does not meet the standards by the Columbus Division of Police,” the department said in a statement about Rosen.“It appears to be inconsistent with the values and training we instill in our officers.”Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther said in a statement he was “disturbed and upset” by the clip. The cell phone video filmed by a civilian showed Rosen stomping 22-year-old Demarko Anderson in the face as Anderson lies face down on a sidewalk in handcuffs. Anderson is later heard demanding to speak to a supervisor.Rosen self-reported the kick after Anderson was in custody, police said.A police report said Rosen and other officers were investigating a report of a man firing a gunshot and then threatening to shoot a house and all of the people inside. Officers spotted Anderson walking away from a house and tried to arrest him. Anderson pulled away, elbowed an officer in the face and ran off before the cops caught him, police said.Anderson on Monday pleaded not guilty to felony charges for possessing a weapon under disability and possession of controlled substances, as well as misdemeanor charges for resisting arrest by causing physical harm to a law enforcement officer and obstruction of official business.Rosen was one of two plainclothes officers involved in the fatal shooting of a man in 2016 — but a grand jury declined to indict either cop for the death. -(NY Daily News)
