Man Dead And Woman Arrested After Going On A 3 State Murder Spree
This couple must have thought they were the modern day Bonnie and Clyde.
William "Billy" Boyette and his alleged accomplice Mary Rice had been on the run since January 31st before their murderous spree came to an end.
The police blocked them in to a motel in Georgia where a stand off lasted for hours.
After an hours-long standoff with authorities, Rice exited the building and was arrested by a member of the county’s SWAT unit, CNN reported. Moments later
Boyette, accused of murdering four women, committed suicide inside the room.Eddins said local officials in Georgia are prepared to extradite Rice to either Florida or Alabama, where she’s charged with the robbery and capital murder of Peggy Phillips Broz.
The victim was a 52-year-old hospital worker in Lillian Alabama, according to a GoFundMe page set up by her family. Boyette and Rice stole her car and drove it to Florida, where authorities believe the pair murdered 28-year-old Kayla Crocker.
Rice faces a maximum 30 years in prison if she is convicted on her accessory offense, and a concurrent 30-year sentence if she’s found guilty in the murder of Phillips Broz, USA Today reported. -(NY Daily News)
