Philly Schools To Bring Face Masks Back to Classrooms for Early 2023

I keep reminding people that COVID is still here but things have amped up with other issues. There is RSV and the flu that's running rampant a lot lately. The numbers are definitely high in Pennsylvania alone for those testing positive with the flu alone. Right now, Philly sits at a medium status in regards to the spread, but the Philly schools want to make sure the kids and staff members are safe for school when they return to school after winter break. According to NBC 10, the School District of Philadelphia announced that starting Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023, students and staff will once again have to wear face masks in the classrooms, citing potential exposure to COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses over the holiday break. But it's just temporary. The mandate will be in place only for about 2 weeks, from January 3-13. So while you're out running around for those holiday gifts, make sure you grab a new box of face masks and stuff those stockings with them.
