Marketing is key when you're trying to promote something. That's what Drake and 21 Savage did while promoting their project, Her Loss. They did some marketing moves that included a fake interview with Howard Stern. Drake and 21 did a fake Saturday Night Live performance where they had Michael B. Jordan introduce them. The guys even did a fake Tiny Desk performance. But this is what got them in trouble, putting out a fake Vogue issue with them on the cover. According to TMZ, Drake and 21 have been hit with a lawsuit from Vogue over fake covers to promote their record. The cover does look real and it looks like an official special edition, which, would have Vogue fans fooled and the magazine isn't trying to have that. They just didn't want to get in on this fun. Condé Nast, which owns Vogue, claims Vogue and Anna Wintour "have not endorsed ["Her Loss"] in any way" and asked Drake and 21 to stop using Vogue for their promos and to take everything down from social media and more. Condé Nast wants a judge to shut down the use of the Vogue mark immediately and it wants at least $4M in damages. But you have to admit, it was genius!
