One thing about Ye is that he doesn't like anyone messing with his creative process when it comes to fashion. He was pissed at GAP just last week after he posted claims of being left out of meetings. He even claimed GAP was trying to copy some specific items without his permission. Well now, Ye is beefing with adidas. If you've been seeing things on Kanye West's IG page, then you saw him going after Daniel Cherry. Cherry is the Senior VP of adidas. Ye is mad because he claims the company hired Cherry to run Yeezy without his knowledge or approval according to Hypebeast. Ye said adidas tried to buy him out for $1 billion. He said, "The fact felt they could color my shoes and name them without my approval is really wild." He went on saying, “I really care about building something that changes the world and something I can leave to my kids. They tried to buy me out for 1 billion dollars [USD]. My royalties next year are 500 million dollars [USD] alone.” But Ye seems to have people supporting him, like Swizz Beatz and Diddy. Swizz posted a photo of a pair of Yeezy's with a red X on them with the caption reading, "I usually mind my business but this is DEAD WRONG! If we let them do this to @kanyewest it will happen to us also! This man created this groundbreaking innovation and it should be respected as a creative ! YE is only asking for his work to be respected and not stolen that’s not crazy to me !! We not buying these !!!!!!!!!!!! @adidas you’re supposed to be original do the correct thing please !!!" Diddy hopped on IG and captioned the same photo with, "Since the era of Run-DMC, @Adidas has always used Hip Hop to build its brand and make billions off of our culture. BUT WE ARE MORE THAN JUST CONSUMERS NOW, WE’RE THE OWNERS. @KanyeWest and YEEZY are the reason Adidas is relevant to culture. WE KNOW OUR VALUE! I’m done wearing Adidas products until they make this right!! We have to support each other!!" Let's see how this situation goes.
