Do you remember when a fragrance company came for Jay-Z and hit him with a lawsuit back in 2016? The company, Parlux, basically said it was breach of contract because Jay didn't do promotional appearances and more for their Gold Jay-Z cologne. Jay ended up countersuing the group for over $2 million. The company tried to sue Jay for $67 million in damages, but Jay was found not guilty. The jury basically didn't think someone would want something with their name on it, to fail. According to Vibe, a Manhattan judge recently ordered Parlux to pay Jay nearly $7 million in unpaid royalties including interest, as back pay. Yikes! We are pretty sure they didn't see that coming.
