I have always been a fan of The Wizard of Oz. Wait, take that back. I've always been a fan of The Wiz, the urban take on the classic. Well, I will be curious to see what Kenya Barris does to The Wizard of Oz. According to The Jasmine Brand, the creator of Black-ish is gearing up to write and direct a remake of Wizard of Oz for Warner Bros. The first film of Wizard of Oz was released back in 1939. There have been several takes on the movie, but it's definitely a classic. So what can we expect from Kenya's version? Well all we know is that the movie will be "reimagined" and we're not sure when we can expect the movie to hit theaters and we definitely can't wait to see who will be a part of the cast. Meanwhile, Kenya is pretty excited about this, per his Instagram post. And it make us wonder when we can check out the reboot, considering Kenya is in the middle of filming the reboot of White Men Can't Jump with Jack Harlow.
