Keke Palmer has been acting for years and she definitely has a catalog, including the most recent number 1 movie in the box office, Nope. However, over the weekend someone hopped on social media and tried to compare Keke to Zendaya. That person posted, "I'd like someone to do a deep-drive on the similarities and differences between Keke Palmer and Zendaya's careers. This may be one of the clearest examples of how colorism plays out in Hollywood. They were both child-stars, but their mainstream popularity is very different." And so what if it is? The ladies are both great in their lanes and is it really colorism or just acting abilities and the roles they choose? Well Keke isn't one to start a fight with anyone and she definitely responded to that, saying, "A great example of colorism is to believe I can be compared to anyone." And then she breaks everything on down in her career, including being the first Black women to play Cinderella on Broadway and let's not forget being the youngest Black woman to even have her own talk show and more. And in the future, let's not compare how mainstream these young sisters may or may not be. Let's applaud them on their skills and talent.
