There has been a lot of good television lately. And now, the Emmy Awards nominations are in. And we have to say, this award show's nominations definitely seem more diverse than the Oscars. This year’s Emmy Award nominees were announced on Tuesday (July 12) with “Succession,” “Ted Lasso” and “The White Lotus” earning the most nominations. And we can't forget to mention Netflix's "Squid Games" got about 14 nods, which was the most for a foreign-language show, according to The Jasmine Brand. But get this, if you haven't had a chance to see Quinta Brunson's "Abbott Elementary" series, then you've been missing out. Quinta has just made history as the first Black woman to receive three comedy Emmy nominations! Yes! The show was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series. Quinta's co stars Janelle James and Sheryl Lee Ralph also earned nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and Tyler James Williams was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. Other nominations include Issa Rae, Donald Glover for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series category, recognizing his FX series Atlanta. And I am so happy to see my girl Zendaya being nominated, also making history as the youngest person to get an acting nomination 2 years in a row. She has been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role in HBO's Euphoria. Congrats to all of the nominess.
