R. Kelly was sentenced to 30 years in prison last week, however, he was placed on suicide watch. I mean, we get it. Some news like that could drive someone a bit crazy. However, R. Kelly says he isn't suicidal and it was never on his mind to kill himself. TMZ reports R. Kelly filed a lawsuit last week claiming that he was being subjected to "cruel and unusual punishment" after he was put on suicide watch at Brooklyn's MDC. Even though he still has 2 more cases, he actually had a win out of the lawsuit. The feds took him off of suicide watch, at the detention center. Apparently, the decision was made following a clinical assessment. If you're wondering what was a part of the assessment, it's currently not known.
