Over the years, Mo'Nique has been vocal about people she felt did her wrong. Remember the campaign she had trying to get people to ban Netflix because they lowballed her on a comedy special back in 2017? Who was giving up their Netflix just because she didn't get paid what she thought she was due? Mo'Nique claimed the streaming service offered her a lower amount of money as a Black woman, compared to that of white comedian. She sued Netflix over discrimination in 2019. Mo'Nique claims she was being discriminated against because of her gender and color. Netflix claimed that wasn't the issue at all but they also felt her offer of $500k was fair and they were willing to fight the lawsuit. According to Page Six, both Mo'Nique and Netflix have reached a settlement in the discrimination lawsuit. They agreed to dismiss the lawsuit all together but there are not further details about the settlement.
