I think everybody knows Christmas is Mariah Carey's favorite holiday. Of course she has her hit song, "All I want for Christmas is You" that is a holiday classic. However, she has just been hit with a lawsuit over the song. A songwriter is claiming he wrote a song with the same title and that Mariah was inspired by his song. TMZ reports Andy Stone is suing Mariah for copyright infringement. Okay, so here is the thing, Stone claims he recorded his back in 1989 in Nashville, and says it got extensive airplay and even made it to the Billboard charts during the 1993 Christmas season. And yes, there was a video as well. A year later, Mariah lit up the scene with her song. Stone may be a a bit delusional because he claims Mariah and her camp never sought or obtained permission to use that title. But get this, the songs don't even sound alike. They just bare the same title, but Stone is suing for $20 million. We will see what a judge says about this.
