Last week, there were a few Montgomery County schools who decided to bring back the mask mandate for students in their schools. This happened because the COVID-19 data tracker showed the number were rising and was listed as "high" for that county. Those schools said when the date tracker goes to "medium" then they would just recommend the students wear their masks. Well, it looks like Philadelphia School District has decided to students need to wear their masks in schools again, beginning Monday. According to NBC 10, the district made the announcement with a news release on Friday, saying that the Philadelphia Department of Public Health made the recommendation for universal mask-wearing. Masking will be mandatory “until further notice,” the district said. And because of the increase in COVID numbers, the kids will definitely have to bring and wear their masks at school, on campus, when riding schools buses and vans as well. Norristown Area School District also started requiring masks for students for today as well.
